Sound familiar?

Panic has a way of quietly taking over.

You've probably already tried to manage it on your own. Maybe you've been to the ER. Maybe you've rearranged your life — just a little, then a lot — to avoid the feeling.

The problem with managing panic is that it keeps panic in charge. This program is designed to help you work through it — with structure, support, and evidence-based tools.

"I thought something was seriously wrong with my heart."
"I stopped going places just in case."
"I've been managing it for years — I'm exhausted."
"I didn't know there was a real treatment for this."
Why this program is built the way it is

Women's lives deserve care that actually fits them.

Anxiety and panic don't happen in a vacuum. They happen inside a life — and women's lives carry a particular kind of weight. The roles, the pressures, the way we're taught to push through, minimize, and manage rather than be heard.

Panic in women is also frequently misread. Dismissed as stress. Sent home from the ER with a clean bill of cardiac health and no explanation for what just happened to your body.

This program is built with that context in mind. The way panic shows up, the reasons it takes hold, and what it actually takes to move through it — all of it is shaped by the fullness of your experience. You deserve care that recognizes that.

How it works

A clear path, from first session to last.

The Panic Program is structured therapy — not open-ended, not vague. Every session has a purpose. You'll always know where you are and what's coming next.

01

Understand Your Panic

We start by making sense of what's actually happening in your nervous system. Understanding the panic cycle is the first step to working through it.

02

Build Real Skills

You'll learn CBT tools to interrupt panic when it starts, and EMDR to process the deeper fear responses that keep panic stuck in your body.

03

Apply What You've Built

You'll leave with a real toolkit — skills you've actually practiced. The goal is that panic takes up less and less space in your life.

You deserve someone who gets it.

Panic is one of the most disorienting things a person can experience — and one of the most misunderstood. If you've ever been told it's "just anxiety" or sent home from the ER with no real answers, you know how isolating that feels. I've sat with a lot of women carrying exactly that.

I'm Meika, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works exclusively with women navigating anxiety and panic. I built this program because I kept seeing how much further women moved when therapy had real structure — when every session had a purpose and nothing was left vague.

My approach is warm and direct. I take panic seriously, I won't minimize what you're going through, and I'll meet you where you are.

This program works well as a standalone treatment or alongside your existing therapy — whatever fits your life and your care.

Questions

Good things to know.

What if I have anxiety but not panic attacks?
This program can still be a good fit. The tools we use — CBT and EMDR — are effective for anxiety broadly, not just panic attacks. If you're living with persistent anxiety that's getting in the way of your life, reach out and we can talk through whether this is the right approach for you.
I'm already seeing a therapist. Can I still do this?
Yes. This program works well alongside existing therapy. Some clients use it as a focused complement to their regular work with another provider. It can also stand completely on its own if this is your first step into therapy.
Is this actual therapy, or more like a course?
This is real, licensed therapy. We meet one-on-one via telehealth — it's just structured so every session has a clear purpose and builds on the last. You also get a workbook to use between sessions.
How does the two-sessions-per-week format work?
Each week includes one full hour-long therapy session and one shorter check-in. The check-in keeps you supported and on track between the deeper work — without feeling like a second full appointment.
Do I have to be in Bellingham?
No — all sessions are via telehealth. As long as you're in Washington State, we can work together from wherever you are.
What if I'm not sure whether I have panic disorder?
That's exactly what the free consultation is for. We'll talk through what you're experiencing and whether this program is the right fit — no pressure and no obligation.
Will insurance actually cover this?
In most cases, yes. Sessions are billed as standard therapy under your mental health benefits. I accept Premera, Lifewise, Regence, Kaiser, BCBS, Aetna, and United. If you're unsure about your specific plan, reach out before scheduling and I can help clarify.
Am I locked in for all 12 weeks?
No. Sessions are billed individually through your insurance — you're never locked into a package or contract. If at any point it's not feeling like the right fit, we can talk about it. You're in charge of your own care.
I've had panic attacks for years. Can this still help?
Panic is very treatable, even after years of living with it. I can't promise specific outcomes — therapy is a collaborative process and results vary — but this program gives you the best evidence-based tools available, with real structure and support to use them.
